Online-Seminar „RET Testing in Routine Diagnostics“

Der Ringversuch RET Alterationen 2021 hat dieses Jahr erstmalig stattgefunden und begleitend dazu bietet die QuIP GmbH ein kostenloses Online-Seminar in englischer Sprache an, um über die RET Testung in der Routinediagnostik zu informieren.

PD Dr. med. Dr. nat. med. Udo Siebolts, Universitätsklinikum Halle (Saale), geht im ersten Teil auf die klinischen Besonderheiten der RET-Translokationen und -Mutationen ein, stellt Ergebnisse klinischer Studien und den Wirkmechanismus der verfügbaren Medikamente vor.   

Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Sabine Merkelbach-Bruse, Universitätsklinikum Köln, gibt im zweiten Teil einen Überblick über die Vor- und Nachteile der gängigen Nachweismethoden für die jeweilige RET Alteration, die Hauptschwierigkeiten der RET Testung im Labor, sowie auftretende Resistenzmechanismen unter Therapie. Weiterhin wird Frau Prof. Merkelbach-Bruse einen Ausblick auf die Ergebnisse des Ringversuchs RET Alterationen 2021 geben.


Am Ende ist Zeit für die Beantwortung von Fragen, diese können live im Chat während des Online-Seminars gestellt werden. Alle Teilnehmer sind eingeladen Fragen zu Theorie und Praxis vor, während und nach dem Seminar im Chat zu stellen und zu diskutieren.

This year, the proficiency test for the detection of RET Alterations 2021 took place for the first time and QuIP GmbH is therefore offering a free online seminar to provide information about RET testing in routine diagnostics.

PD Dr. med. Dr. nat. med. Udo Siebolts, University Hospital Halle (Saale), will provide an overview of the spectrum of RET alterations and affected tumor entities, discuss the mechanism of action of the available drugs, the results of the clinical trials and the testing algorithm.


Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Sabine Merkelbach-Bruse, University Hospital Cologne, will talk about advantages and disadvantages of the current detection methods for RET testing, requirements of sample material and occurrence of resistance under therapy. In addition, an overview of proficiency tests offered by QuIP for RET alterations in 2021 will be provided.

There will be sufficient time to discuss your questions after the presentations. All participants are invited to ask live questions regarding theory and practice during the online seminar through the chat.
